中金心水论119049:con Texas Rangers Are Ready To Take The Nex

Some teams may think that it is better to have no shot at all than to get so close to a playoff spot and then come up empty. The Texas Rangers are using that as motivation to find the missing pieces to give Los Angeles a right for the division title in 2010. The Rangers off season plan seemed to go just as they wanted it to, now it is a matter of making sure that they were indeed the right moves.

2009 was hardly a bad year for the Texas Rangers. They racked up 87 wins and finished with the 5th best record in the American League. While their regular season record would have won them the Central Division, it was a far cry from the 97 wins that LA racked up and eight short of the wild card position that Boston won. Texas had to take a long, hard look to try and find those dozen wins that they will surely need again this season.

The pitching staff of the Texas Rangers shows a ton of potential. The Hawaiian native Feldman managed to get 17 wins last season despite having a 4.08 ERA. He has continually showed improvement each season and the team obviously likes to play behind him. He is one of those pitchers that always seem to get a lot of run support and getting his ERA down even slightly will mean a 20 win season.

More than likely, Rich Harden will follow him in the rotation and while 2009 was not kind to him, it was probably a great learning experience. Having played his entire career in Oakland until the middle of 2008,55079com创富高手网, he may have been a bit shell shocked. Not only that,香港雷锋报 本帖最后由 城市音雄 于 2017-12, but he went to a National League team where he knew none of the hitters. Coming back to the American League is surely a welcome change and we very well may see the Rich Harden that is capable of having a sub 3.00 ERA.

The offense is in fine shape and will once again be led by Kinsler and Hamilton. Hamilton is a great story of a ballplayer gone wrong and back again. There were some issues in 2009 for him, but if he stays healthy and keeps his head straight, Texas is looking at well over 30 home runs out of Josh. Kinsler is however the big offensive draw. He gave up about .060 points to his average last season, but traded that for almost 15 extra home runs. If he can find a middle ground, this team will score a ton of runs.

It is always nice to start the season at home and that is exactly what Texas will be doing this year. A split series against Toronto and then Seattle comes to town. Both of these teams will supply an immediate measuring stick as to how talented this team is. If they get off to a winning start, they really only have two tough series for the rest of the month. Can they get 18 20wins by the end of April? That may be a bit much, but they can surely get off to one heck of a start.
